Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

Our 8 reg losses record is likely safe, Bruins have 7 with 32 to go. Our 132 points is at risk though as Bruins will have to lose 14 points the rest of the way.

Dylan Strome got a 5 year, $25M extension with Washington.

The same guy Chicago didn't qualify last summer and he walked for free. Asset management is a hard thing.

But Anderson has a garbage contract
Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

The point isn't that Washington gave him a terrible contract, it's that Chicago's in the middle of a full-frontal rebuild and they willingly let Strome go for nothing by not offering him a contract... And he even had a better season last year than he does now.

That's a major fuck-up. Major, major fuck-up.

You think Dach for #13 was smart management? For some reason they wanted to purge, my money is on Bedard as the reason.

It wasn't a good trade for them. You know what would have been even worse? Giving up Dach for nothing to avoid having to pay him... when they were under no obligation to.

That's basically what they did for Strome. They could have traded him for a 4th round pick in 2025, for example. That would have been more than what they got.

Dumb trade , WTF who guts the roster with a 21 year old looking like a good top 6 player

The rest I get , DaBrincat is too expensive before they are ready to compete

Dach had no leverage for a big payday and a nice piece to keep

Total fuck up by the Caps

Dach had no effect on getting Bedard

Team is horseshit , he would be lucky to get 15 goals this year.

lol….Dach wasn’t going to prevent the Hawks from a great shot at CB. They soured on him and got something valuable before he was going to log another disappointing season

He was a rescue pup for us

You really think they drilled down that far? They cleaned house unnecessarily which is poor asset management
