that is not an argument I would make but the entire purpose of tanking would go away if all teams out of the post season had the same chance. I also read one view once, might have been here, where the better odds would go to the teams that barely missed that would force teams to try and win. I get that the entire raison d' etre of drafts is to bring all teams to the middle, parity is the goal of all commissioners, but by giving teams extra balls for losing, you actually hurt the product.

My retired scout buddy mentioned some GM’s would come down to the locker room and tell the players , leave Wayne alone we need fans to stay in the building tonight .Players killed LaFleur or Mario
 
So halfway through tonight's must-win game against possibly the worst team in the league, Pittsburgh just went down 1-0.

A four team tournament between Bawstun, Toronto, Tampa Bay & Carolina, please. Rest of the teams can go on vacation.

Wehave will say that four team tournament is meaningless as only one team will win and the other three will have had wasted seasons,,,
