Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

I'm half-watching while working, but the only time I'll really pay attention is the third period of a game where one of the teams is in position to win the Cup.

I haven't missed one in my adult life.

I can relate. I don't believe I have missed seeing the end of a Cup winning game since 1962. If I did, it was in the last 10 years, but pretty sure I didn't. (Short term memory goes first, right). But at this point, its probably more me being stubborn enough to maintain the streak than really needing to see the ending of some of the seasons.

I'm not sure I've seen one in yrs, turned ours off in 2021.

Looks like Florida's magical run of "let's get elite goaltending and hope to be opportunistic" is about to come to an end.
It's 2021 all over again. I guess "Bobrovsky and anything can happen" doesn't work any better than it did for Price and the Habs.

I no longer even recall what teams won after about 1998. I've probably skipped watching as many as I've watched over the past 20 years. I watch the Habs, the I hate watch the Leafs (or Canucks in 2011) and once all the teams I hate are eliminated and I'm indifferent to the teams that are left, I tune out.

Iavn Provorov headed to CBJ.
Am I missing something? That's an horrible trade for the Flyers? They're giving up Provonov AND getting Petersen??

Edit: Ok apparently they're getting picks back as well, which makes a lot more sense.
