Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

that's why I'm interested to see what Monahan and Pearson net us at the deadline --- HuGo has shown that he's interested in B+ prospects as much as he is in getting 2nd round picks
Hugo will fleece a team for a healthy Mony

Pearson a second round pick plus a near ready bottom 6 will be fine

Habs were not winning a cup

Maybe, maybe not, but we were a top 5 team in the East between 2012-2017, a few more key pieces might have landed a trip or 2 to the finals.

Just for the fun of it, we could have probably got Jordan Staal in 2012 for the 3rd overall pick (he was traded at the draft) and Niederetter in 2013 (also traded at the draft). No superstars forwards there but 2 young big forwards that can score and that changes the complexion of the team quite a bit.

Team was always 2 guns away .....1C and a better scorer than Max

MB would’ve likely needed to over pay as in multiple picks and that seemed to go against his predisposition

Yeah, the Yankees were dumb for not trading the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft for some young MLB players. To save Sal the trouble of looking that up, that player was Aaron Judge.
the guy who oversaw the picking of Judge, who also happened to be the head scout at the time that selected / signed Bernie Williams, Rivera, Pettite, Jeter and the 90s core, was the one who stated what he stated not me…

We were also too small with no scoring depth. Staal, Plekanec, Eller, Desharnais (on the 4th line, PP) would not have been a terrible group of centers despite lacking a 1C. Niederetter would have been a nice complement on the wing. There is no doubt in my mind that Staal+Nino is an improvement of Galchenyuk+McCarron.

Carbo and Richer with grecian fomula would be better

For anyone like me who didn't want to watch the Adam Johnson incident because of the gore and didn't want to see something that you can't unsee. Here's a slowed down and zoomed in clip of the "hit." It cuts off right after the contact so there's no blood or anything. There's zero doubt in my mind that the guy intentionally kicked him. I very much doubt that he intended to kill him or even cut him with his blade though.

fucken disgusting
