Just fucking stop. He did bossy better than Bossy. He may be a duplicitous prick but he has to kiss the ring.

He is the most prolific scorer of his time and soon all time.
 
He’s not wrong. Watching Ovy plays live is a joke, he just stands at the blue line and waits for the puck, and only hustles if the puck is within 10 feet of himself.

But you have to give credit where credit is due, he’s can flat out score.
 
Ovechkin in his twenties was in the discussion as greatest power forward ever.

The problem with Ovechkin is that he's a scorer first and foremost, and he just doesn't have the impact that a franchise center does.

It's not to denigrate his career achievements, but Ovechkin has three credible arguments for being the best of: Best scorer ever, best Russian player ever and best Washington Capital.

But greatest player ever? He's not even in the discussion.
 
I'd have no issue if the guy was still actually playing hickey but he doesn't do that anymore. He just hangs around and waits. He barely breaks a sweat. I saw a 52 year old Gordie Howe play live and he put out a bigger physical effort than Ovie does. Mike Bossy was a scorer but he played. Ovie doesn't. Not anymore. He's just hanging around waiting to break the record.
 
Pens were good for dead a couple of weeks ago. Now they look like they will grab one of the 2 available playoff spots.

That’s not an argument I’ve ever heard. He’s not even better than Crosby (although it was close at first)

And GEEMAN (and some of the internet's brightest that reside on Twitter) seem to be making the argument.
