I paid a scalper $250 for a pair of seats to Game 6 of the 94 finals at the Pacific Coliseum. As I recall, that was the first time I noticed that Ticketmaster was increasing the prices for each successive playoff round. But in 1994, the most expensive seat for a Canucks regular season game was $40 so the increases weren't that bad.
In Montreal the playoff prices used to be about $4 more than regular season prices and it didn't matter if it was the opening round or the finals. Today tickets to sporting events sell like airline tickets. The guy sitting next to you may have paid $100 more ot less than you did depending on when he bought it or how many times it changed hands before he bought it.
