Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

100 percent of the salary, 50 percent of cap hit spread out however you like but no longer than double the contract
I appreciate people that read and remember my posts. 😁 Although I don’t think the current buy out rules pay players 100% of their salaries, but I’d be fine with that trade off. It’s not my money after all. 😂

I'm just suggesting this as a new variation. Players get money and managers get flexibility.

I had the no longer than double the remaining of the contract in my original proposition, but I'm not opposed to the 100% salary as a negotiation lever.

Well, the same brains are getting bashed in college
True but players are not going up against top competition every game in a shorter season

The worst teams in the NFL all have elite athletic freaks at most positions

A QB at 18 vs 22 is way different in man strength and development

The Bruins aren't winning a Cup this year, but they'll still annihilate Toronto like they always do. Keefe will stupidly dress Reaves for a game and blow the entire series.

Allow the Flames to cut Huberdeau loose and let him find a team with a better fit. It’s not only good for the team, but the players and the league in general.
Works if you eliminate the cap hit per season

His contract is buyout proof and cap savings is squat

No reason why NHLPA/OWNERS cant figure a way to take the buyout total that has to be used within 5 years
