Around The League - 2024-25 Regular Season

Nothing wrong with that when you paid 10 cents on the dollar

We got fuck all for Dach costing us a lottery pick and a top 4 D
No need to make stuff up.

It was not for both and the lotto already occurred so not a lottery pick. 13th overall.

Great trade to get 13. TBD on the trade for Dach.

Connor brown is now 4th on the Oilers in goals after missing a year and then struggling for a year.

You cant get Dach without the 13th pick and first trade

Dach looked arguably better than even Suzuki two years ago, and looks worse than Pezzetta would be this year (I mean Pezzetta wouldn't be on pace to be -50).
I didnt expect big numbers but not this putrid

Plan B might be Hage after his contract is up

No it didn't. It cost us either a top four D or 13th overall. Not both as the pick was acquired using Romanov.

Granted Frank Nazar is looking good in the AHL but there's no way of knowing if that would have been the Habs pick.

13th is still a high price to pay for the return received but stop with the BS analysis.

Dach cost Romanov and I'm still ok with that. The second part of the trade was the mistake, not the first.
What BS , Romy and a third was moved for 13

Habs then flipped 13 and a third for Cack

Couldnt care less who the Habs would take at 13

All those assets were needed to get Cack

If you didnt flip 13 other assets had to go

"Drury" is how you pronounce "Bergevin" in English.

If you want a friend get a dog.
For all his faults, MB was a fiercely loyal person to his hockey ops team and went out of his way to protect his players unless he felt betrayed (non team first displays)…. to a fault.

Drury seems to be a corporate ladder climbing weasel type

The game prior to his injury last year year, the season opener in Toronto, Dach was the best player on the ice . . . for either team. Will we ever see that Dach again? Hard to say.
