Our old building was 72 years old before we replaced it. But if Geoff wants to spend his own money he can be my guest. Just be prepared to pay the property tax bill.

Quebec and Montreal should pay for it and give the team a tax break, we're a cultural institution. If they can pay a billion for a roof for a stadium that is never used, they can pay 1 billion for a new rink

Taxpayer money should never be used to build stadiums for billionaires, full stop. "Cultural institution" my ass. It's a colossal waste and misuse of public funds.
The Habs don't need a new rink. The one they have is perfectly fine and should last them another 40 years at least.
