Gorton’s from Boston so he doesn’t really speak English either. Are the fans/media going to fall for this trick of not having a French person in charge?

We'll see. I get the feeling that there won't be much that can be done to fix the lineup because of how many long-term contracts there are.
I tried to warn y'all about those contracts to players in the their mid-to-late-20s. Every single one of them turned out to be bad.

As Greta Thunberg says "Blah, blah, blah." I do not give a flying fuck what that incompetent douchebag has to say. I'm fine with letting the door him him in the ass on his way out. Timmins I would happily toss out of the nearest window.Statement from Marc Bergevin | Montréal Canadiens
Marc Bergevin joined the Montreal Canadiens on May 2, 2012, as the franchise's 17th general managerwww.nhl.com

I don't think the situation is that bad. None of the players with the long term contracts. have really hit the age wall yet and can be moved if needed. I'm not saying we will get top value for those but we shouldn't have to get too much toxic assets in return either. Gallagher might be the hardest to move but he benefits from good reputation, while Price can be moved by eating some of the cap space, unfortunately. None of the other contracts are especially difficult to move at the moment. In a few years it might be different.
The picks bank is full, and there is descent prospects in the pipeline, even though there is no blue chips, as usual.
I think it's Matt Darche under Gorton's close supervision.Dude, he’s the de facto GM. He’s getting a 5 year deal, minimum. He could have gotten other NHL GM jobs.
Likely .. he’ll STFU, know his place to play 2nd fiddle to Gorton, and do his PR media duties like a good company man without causing any stir.I think it's Matt Darche under Gorton's close supervision.
