Similar story from back in the early 60's with the Place Ville Marie building which, when completed in 1962, was the first office tower to have floor to ceiling windows. People who worked there weren't used to this and shied away from getting too close. So someone in management brought in a lineman from the Alouettes and had him launch himself at the glass to prove that it was safe. Nothing happened and the lineman bounced off the window.

The next day, without anyone coming near it, that specific pane of glass just fell out.
