I'm definitely on the Robbie > Knies train, but I don't mind starting the year to see if Knies IQ takes a step forward. As much as I wanted M&M separated, if Berube does want to give them a run together for whatever reason, I don't mind a skilled plumber being on the other side of them as long as he's doing skilled things and making the line better.

If they split up M&M though and put Domi on that Matthews wing, I want Robbie up there definitely.

I'm not convinced he will actually be good there, but there's plenty of guys with similar skillsets who are very successful as offensive centers.

The best part of him slotting in at C is that it makes more room for our good winger depth....and more importantly really lessens the value of paying $2.4m to a 4th line C.. There's just enough C minutes after Matthews/Nylander/Tavares to justify spending any money on a 4C.

But even if Kampf stays for now, I'd rather it be Holmberg and Dewar having a tougher time making the starting lineup than Robertson or Cowan.
 
Unless Patches falls apart in camp, he looks like a lock for a middle winger spot.

Looking at waiver exempt guys, depending on who outplays who we are likely to lose 2 or 3 of Steeves/Abruzzese/Holmberg/Dewar to waivers... unless moves are made trading guys like Jarnkrok/Kampf.

Strong camps by the likes of Cowan Holmberg Lorentz Quillan A.Nylander could really push Brad into moving Kampf and Jarnkrok.

IMO Holmberg fits in there somewhere, and they move Kampf/Krok.

Cowan is the only guy who could actually earn a spot, and unless he's horrible they likely keep him for the 9 games. Especially if Dewar is hurt.
