yeah i generally think people on this board go way overboard on the ref whining, i'm sure it happens for most teams ... but it was absolute garbage tonight. Schenn call was bullshit, and the Marner pick on the PK, maybe a marginal call 5on5 but he was basically hauled down on the penalty kill when he had a pretty good chance to clear the zone ... should be a penalty.

One of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. The slash, the hold, the phantom cross check on Schenn, the goal that didn't cross the line. I would be irate with the officiating if there wasn't the undertone of corruption/bias. Throw in the McCauley/Keefe shit and if the organization doesn't hit the fucking roof tonight, they can all fuck off and I'll prepare a bottle of champagne for the day (shortly) when they're all fired.

Could you imagine the Pat Quinn or even Brian Burke meltdown if this McCauley shit was happening on their watch? Quinn would try to put a cigar out on Bettman's forehead.

Not much to laugh about tonight but the mental image of that sentence did it.

And I couldn't log into 66 (I'm out of free uses today? I haven't used it at all!), so I came here to get a glimpse of what happened before I go watch later and...holy fuck. At least I don't have to watch anything more than the highlights.

Looking like some of us were warranted to hate what they ended up doing with the roster in the end.
