maybe god should have started with that strategy - give us free will but actually show his face so nobody would actually want to use their free will?

Sin will still be around, but there will be a world wide knowledge and acknowledgment of God. Oddly enough, the sacrificial system will also be reinstituted on The Temple mount. What does that say about Jesus's sacrifice?

How do you know which fairy tales to believe and which fairy tales are "made up?'

Try not to use freewill....good luck with that. Do you understand what freewill is?

God is all around just need to look. If God actually showed up in front of you as HE truly is you'd drop dead.

God is wired into out DNA. It is unavoidable no matter who tries to avoid this thought. What you do with that information is up to you. You can flush it down the toilet or you can investigate. No one's pushing you in either direction. But to deny that God exists is simply foolish. Its as sensical as beating your own head against a wall to convince yourself otherwise.

Dear Lord. Do what you want, whenever you want, just realize that there will be consequences. When the Messiah does show up God will be pouring His Divine presence upon the Earth. At that point we will all know what is right and what is wrong and you will want to do whats right...you can still choose to do wrong but you will be held accountable. God created us...do you not think He might have a plan for us? Realize that our human way of thinking will change...for the better.

Oddly enough I was not raised in a "religious" family. Not even remotely. Leave religion out of it altogether really. No one has to be religious to believe in a higher power. But some of us like to look a little further than to the end of or nose.

But you said there will be no intentional sin when he comes back - that we will have free will but nobody will use it to do anything but what he tells them to.

So why didn't he do that from the start? What was the point of hiding for a few millenia?

What I said was:

We are all not gonna be just sitting around a campfire listening to a perpetual sermon from "God". We will still have a life to live, but the knowledge of God will be throughout the world. It will not be questioned anymore.

If I can sum it up in as few words as possible: The meaning to life is:

To build a close relationship with the one and only God. The way you do that is through study of HIS Word (The Tanach) and prayer.
All of us will face trials throughout our lives. These are to test us and improve our character - hopefully. We are never alone, God watches and listens. Life is very, very short. Do with it as you will - but very few will be able to claim "I did not know there was a God".

yes you've examined things so in depth that you've come to realize that a book of 5000 year old stories filtered through countless translations are not only the only accurate historical document but also a document that perfectly predicts the future.
