I don't hate hockey, I hate meaningless hockey. This tournament is a meaningless, unnecessary waste of player resources. Teams with championship aspirations are holding their breath praying that their star players don't get injured.

Is winning the...checks notes...4 Nations more important to you than your team winning a Cup? Because if it is then your priorities are out of whack.

Any championship that isn't the Stanley Cup is irrelevant and meaningless. Why do we insist on staging them at the expense of the hockey that is actually important?

This isn't new or different. Remember the World Cup of Hockey? Or the Canada Cup? Or the Summit Series? Or, for that matter, the Olympics?

Been there, done that. These tournaments stopped being meaningful as soon as the Iron Curtain came down. It's nothing but a marketing gimmick now.

You are free to watch it and free to enjoy it. Just stop pretending that winning it or losing it means anything because it doesn't.
 
Organized into practice lines and pairings.

Remember that there will be double counting of PP contributions for players here, especially the dmen. So knock some offense points off of guys not on the top pp units.

i've added in the highest rated guys who aren't here too.

Note that these goalie net ratings aren't updated since the preseason so i'll try to come up with some better metric for the goalies.

In fact, watching your teams players on a national stage is only another layer of fun to the already fun event! Which is, of course, illegal. Enjoying things is illegal.

How many times do you need to be reminded that soccer isn't a real sport and is played by pussy euro weenies, not actual men? Who cares what they do in soccer? We already see NHLers emulating all the diving and faking of injuries as it is. We dont need to go further down that road.

And I hope it happens and that the fanbase of the team who's playoff aspirations are most adversely affected by that star player's injury take to social media to cry about it so that I can piss on them from a great height while laughing at them. It'll serve them right.

A catastrophic injury to a star player is literally what it will take for people to wake up to the fact that these tournaments are bullshit.
