First time in maybe ever i think i'll be able to unabashedly root for the canucks, now thst they're near underdogs. We'll see how my gut reacts when watching tho.

Canada looks better, but only because Hughes is out. Otherwise I think the U.S. had a pretty big advantage on D and in net, which is wild considering that was typically always our big advantage.
Matthews being somewhat human this year hurts them too, although he could go off at any point. Our goalies might help him out there...I just looked at their sv% this year...woof. Huge risk we get goalied in this tourney.

I'm not sure what the situation in Colorado is but putting MacKinnon on the wing feels wrong? Guy is leading the league in scoring as a C and just won the Hart playing C. I get they want to try the Mac-Crosby Cole Harbour connection, but I think the only way I'm moving him from C is to play him on McDavid's wing and watch those two commit murder on the rush.

Ya, the more I think of it, the more not at least trying Mac with McDavid is stupid. The only two guys in the league that can operate at that speed with that amount of skill. It would be terrifying.
