There should be a rule that whoever is the head coach is prohibited from selecting his own players, or at least selecting more than one. Point? Okay. But Hegel and Cirelli? GTFOH. Don't tell me that there weren't better options than those two. Scheifele, Suzuki, Hyman, shit even Corey Perry would be a more impactful selection.

Hagel is 5th in scoring for Canadians.

Watched this one in Mexico at the resort with 100ish other Canadians. Was pretty wild. And yes, there was anthem booing.

We've often said on here don't overpay as UFAs other teams "Playoff heroes". Bennett still has not hit 50 points yet. His playoff production is also much lower than the reputation he has.
Find the next Bennett when he's younger and much cheaper.

Truth is Lundell is the more important C for florida. Lundell plays much tougher minutes and produces about the same offensively with much worse linemates while being much better defensively.

Bennett get sheltered offensive usage mostly with an elite linemate like Tkachuk while Barkov and Lundell get all the heavies, and still Bennett is just ok offensively for a 2C, with most of his offense coming from crashing the net.

You gotta think the US will be very motivated to go undefeated... and beating Canada in the finals would be extremely appealing to them.
