im actually curious the impacts of just doing it all
playoff and non playoff and doing a serpentine draft (for at least the first two rounds)

I've been toying in my mind with the serpentine draft idea as well. Full random would have a pretty big impact of the value of draft picks. Imagine a team trading a 1st round pick at the deadline and it ends up being the lottery winner. On the flip side, without randomization, serpentine 2nd picks suddenly have a lot more value for playoff teams.
