The results were trash last year too. We've already seen what Matthews' one timer looks like. Saying that he's better on that delayed curl and shoot, or a trap and shoot that gives time for the PK to shift over and get in the lane is silly.

Yeah the one time is a good weapon, but he is too far out. Last year he was shooting from the slot. Now its outside the citcles.

The chance numbers are horseshit imo. A lot of shots from an area considered "high danger" without getting the goalie moving. An analytic mirage. They weren't unlucky last year.

I'm familiar with the numbers. That wasn't an unlucky PP last year, it was a bad PP. Almost never tried to cross the royal road, but the shots generated were from what the statistics consider to be prime ice. It's not that simple though.
