GDT #37: DEC 21 HNIC: DET @ TOR - Hutch Reborn

Looked like Hutch had luck on his side on several of those saves, but good for him, and fuck man he should only be playing against the junk of the league. This team can win despite him in most of those games.

Yes, I had those same conversations when I was advocating for him to be fired last year after the game 7 debacle. And right off the bat to the season when you could see the team was struggling and he would not adjust.
Now those same people are amazed with how well the team is playing.
 
Leafs are rolling now. Unimpressive first 40 but dominated the final 20. Monday will be interesting vs. Carolina.

Nylander can play with anyone. But Matthews is a better pure trigger man than Tavares, and Marner is a better pure playmaker than Nylander. Nylander's zone entry game might suit flat footed JT just fine. Put Mikheyev on the other wing and I think that could do something.
