They really kept most of it to the outside though. Only 3 high danger chances given up. And thats with Dermott-Holl-Sandin-Lilly-Barrie.

First two periods were pretty much a wash at 5 on 5 but the leafs pp looked sharp. Third was worse than I would have liked but score effects is a real thing.

They're scary good, but they're definitely fragile. Beat them in game 1 and there would be a whole lot of "here we go again" in their room.

Dude we played 2 great periods, then lost Muzzin, and still gutted out the third without allowing even once chance that freddy had to make a great save on.
 
So Nylander going to cruise to 70+ points this year as the smart ones here predicted. Should get around 35 goals too.

Just think, if we had signed him to a bridge deal (Laine, Point, McAvoy, etc) he would be barely 23 this summer coming off of a 35/75 type season with only 2 more years of RFA control, and likely looking for a contract. He would be asking for an easy 8.5-9 million to sign long term. Easy.

But it's still held up to this day as a bad contract and proof that Dubas is a pussy negotiator.
 
Don’t know what website you guys use - but the one that shows if a value of a contract is good or not? What does it say for nylander?
 
People look so dumb right now with the Willy takes. They wanted Willy traded at 22 when his value was at it's lowest. They essentially wanted the Leafs to use the Peter Chiarelli blueprint.
I don't condone trading him at all, but it makes so much more sense to trade him this summer than last.
And 6.9 is a lot? Leaf contracts are just looked at differently than any other team it seems. 1 time 50 point players are getting 6-7.15 per now.
