People have been feeling that for 2 months. This is a 500 team unless Nick goes down to injury. 22 & 14 are carrying the offense.
After Habs handle TBay & Fla at the end of the month, the naysayers will need to accept the inevitable…I don’t think we’ll be talking about a wildcard push at the end of December.
As the season progresses Suzuki and Caufield’s production will decline. The four rookie defenseman will experienced growing pains. Allen will be overplayed and show why he is a career backup. I expect we will pick in th 6-10 range. After Habs handle TBay & Fla at the end of the month, the naysayers will need to accept the inevitable…
This is a 11-17OA draft pick team - 17OA pick puts them in wild card contention.
If for nothing other than the Atlantic division spread will be peanut buttered across many more teams than previous seasons - smaller gap between 1st & last place teams in the division, putting more teams in playoff contention. Which could potentially have a domino effect of fewer teams willing to sell / be buyers at deadline remaining status quo
Youthful ignorance is a beautiful thing and MSL seems to be playing that card to perfection - not understanding & being aware that you’re expected to suck as a teamAs the season progresses Suzuki and Caufield’s production will decline. If anything, it will likely increase. Caufield has had very few multiple goal games so far. He’s due for a few.As the season progresses Suzuki and Caufield’s production will decline. Keep trying to convince yourself of that. Suzuki tends to only shoot from high danger areas anyway.Suzuki’s shooting % is .27, which is unsustainable. It was above .3, which is bananas. It will gradually drift down to .2, which is still quite good.

Also I find this current version of the Habs team seems to exhibit a strong capacity to learn from their errors. Despite not having 2-minute eating vets (Money-hands & Savard), team didn’t repeat the same errors as the night before in Van.
Whoever wants Monahan has to take Gallagher, forget another pick.that's how far Gallagher has fallen...doesn't even warrant a mention among the missing

I'm not overly impressed with Wright or Slaf, to be honest. I think we're years away from knowing whether we got the better player or not.Wright had some good chances in the first. He could have had a hat trick. I thought we should have picked him. Hope I’m wrong.
Admittedly I don’t have an overly informed opinion on the draft. I just always lean to centre over winger.I'm not overly impressed with Wright or Slaf, to be honest. I think we're years away from knowing whether we got the better player or not.
