my fear is that we have an artificial cap that stars with few exceptions will make more than Nick. I hope that is not the case although I do wonder if 16 is worth 1.5 times Nick's salary. However Hughes has to try assuming 16 doesn't reup in Toronto

Marner is a 0.9PPG playoff performer sure that’s a drop off from his PPG regular season game but that’s still pretty damn good for an undersized player in the post season when refs put their whistles away
Matthews & Tavares are the ones who’s production drop off in the post season is 25%+

I'd have no issue signing Marner if he wanted to come here, but I doubt it.
yeah I feel the same but Hughes, Gorton and Molson should agree to bottom for him od that is what it takes. Top 6 of Nick Cole Laine, Demidov/Juraj, Dach and 16 would be sweet
Demidov will sign for more than Nick after his ELC ends.
