Wanting Slaf to play like Tkachuk when that’s just not in his DNA, reminds me of LeClair not playing like Keith Tkachuk back in the day leading to frustration and the deal to Philly - where he did what he was… a big body who doesn’t play mean but drives to the net for rebounds while allowing Lindros to do the dirty work.

Who is capable of doing the dirty work for Slaf?

Should be noted Slaf’s also not moving his feet, so he’s not entirely innocent

I don't want Slaf to play like Tkachuk though

Ekblad is too injury prone and not the player he was

I can see Florida making another cup run and letting him go if this doesnt up a very team friendly deal

Florida me thinks retains one of Ekblad or Bennett

Bennett is a byproduct of a great team with a defined role and a huge overpay in UFA for other teams in the wrong system

I can see the Hawks making that mistake if he makes it to UFA
