Absolutely - the opposing team knows the head coach, GM and maybe even Prez are gonzo if they lose, so the players will have enormous pressure on their shoulders in a high scrutiny media market that benefits the opposition if weaponized properly

No I don’t think Leaf’s players care about coach, GM or Prez but I do think they very much care about having to deal with even more absurd amount of pressure than they usually do, hence that’s the only purpose of the headless horseman of the apocalypse… they serve as a buffer

How is it "pressure" when you still get paid whether you play well or badly? Players today don't have to actually deal with people because they are no longer middle class. They don't live in middle class suburbs in a 1500 square foot house. They live in mansions behind walls and gates and security guards. They have staff to do their grocery shopping. They don't have to rub elbows with the great unwashed the way players of yesteryear had to.
