I've seen all of Laine's goals live at the Bell Center.....every time i say to myself, how can't the goalie stop it, his wind-up allows the goalie enough time to position himself square to the shooter.......but his shot comes in with so much power and precision, that it's nearly impossible to stop even if you are square to the shot

And a lot get deflected by d-men because they can’t get their sticks out of the way fast enough.

This loss is on Monty. Full stop. I'd wager he'd admit it too.
 
And having also been to a ridiculous amount of games live in my life I can attest that being there live does not give you the vantage point to purport that it supercedes numerous angles provide on replay.

First period last night was the best hockey Habs have played ALL season - 2nd & 3rd period was the learning opportunity that can only be gained by playing “meaningful games” and why March / April games are vital for the continued development of the young players.

Still incredulous over the shit that occurred. I'm more pissed at Marty than anyone. The only logical opinion I can think of is that he allowed it in order to be another "learning moment" in that one good period is not a whole game. He really stood there and did nothing, not even a time out to rally his troops when they went up 4-3.

Perhaps he too needs to learn more about coaching.
 
He also seemed rather composed and calm in the short clip I saw of him speaking later. Calmer than I am even thinking about the shit show that ensued. Big picture I suppose, but such a loss to the Leafs does call also for a fair degree of upset, in my mind.

He referenced how difficult it was to match lines against them.
