GDT | Game 56 | VS Sabres | Wednesday, February 21 | 7:00PM EST

sounds like someone lost a bet
Lost one won two. Doesn't change the fact that fucking Caufield BS is another example of how bad this team is or good at shooting themselves in the skates.

What we are is a bad team that still has too much deadwood to get rid of before it can start dreaming about being a playoff team. We are a team that isn't done suffering yet. More tanking is needed.
Rebuild is going well , finally a functioning #1 line with Slaf improving

This summer and next finish taking out the trash , much more work to do

At least there is a plan in place to rebuild properly , fix it right once and for all

Potential is there for sure. A Xhekaj would be really helpful once we're ready to compete in the conference. I expect the East to remain fairly physical for a while.

Yup.

If he can figure out a way to replicate this, or a semblance of this, on a nightly basis? He'll have made a lot of money by the time his career's over.
Bingo , he is a unicorn in today`s game

Great size , mobile , tough SOB , big shot

Has a 10 career if he plays smart hockey

The dilemma is that one of Guhle, Xhekaj, Struble is going to be expendable and one of the most valuable trading piece for acquiring an impact forward. And I think their trading value is in the same order I've listed them. We obviously don't have to make that call now but the day will eventually come.

Would be ideal if one of DR and Mailloux hits in year 1or 2

I would keep WIFI

Why?

Hutson & Engstrom have the luxury of being able to play RD

Historical probability will inevitably lead to at least 50% of D prospects not achieving their potential and some of them not achieving even NHL potential for that matter, let alone unforseen injuries etc

I find Guhle highly overrated but it’s early, hre’s not playing his natural side, Robidas sucks, yada, yada.

Based on their extensive pro experience in North America?

Can we just make sure they're able to play on their natural side at the NHL before anointing them on the right side?

Guhle's only overrated by those here who foolishly told me for years he had offensive potential.

However, if you want to tell me Guhle's a #3-4 and a steady partner for an offense-first RHD (Lane Hutson if he were right handed instead, for example) then I think that would be fair.

That said, if I was able to get a top-6 forward at around the same age as him? I'd trade him tomorrow.

There is always a chance that Huston & Engstrom (and Trudeau, and the Russian) flops. Even with this, there is also Matheson whose only 29 years old (turning 30 this month). Can't keep everyone. One of them might have more value to this team as trade bait.
