Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

Is there any benefit whatsoever to leave a bad coaching staff in Laval? They did pretty good last year though, probably their best postseason in a long time.

Primeau went on a heater.

No I agree with you that it's not ideal but let's face it, this is the Bedard draft and I can tell you with all certainty that they are slow walking the necessary coaching changes because of it. Fully expecting movement on that front after the draft.

why would who coaches in Laval affect our odds at Bedard?

honest question, is there a single player in the organization that you like?
There are several players there to like. The trick is not liking them to the point where you start believing they are better than they actually are or are worth more in trade than they actually are. This team is not failing because it is unlucky or misunderstood. It is failing because while there are a few talented players on the roster, collectively and as a team, they are garbage. The shitty players outnumber the good ones and their ineptitude is sufficient to drag the good ones down.

And this season, that is a very good thing for our future hopes. The Pezzetta's and Pitlick's of the world won't get us to a Cup. A Bedard or a Fantilli might.

when we jettison players in a month, we will have to call up guys from Laval. If Houle has done his job, they will be decent when they wear our glorious jersey, win us some games and cost us little Conor

You just explained why Houle hasn't yet been fired. He's good for the tank. Once we have secured Bedard, Houle will be unceremoniously escorted to the Montmorency Metro Station.

Team is what it is , a covid gift away from missing 6 straight playoffs

Rebuild is ongoing , regime is doing it right

If all goes well in 3+ years the start of a solid competitive team to cheer on for a decade

There’s nobody in Laval that could help your son’s team

What did I say to lead you to believe that I implied anything of the sort? My statement was simply that they won't improve coaching this year, on either club.

Weird
