No, most fans only want them to be a mediocre team that makes the playoffs. They no longer understand that whether you finish 8th or 18th you're still garbage. The fans don't want to do the heavy lifting of a tear-down and rebuild. They want the instant gratification of a first round playoff series, even if it leads nowhere.
