Habs Season Thread: 2024-25 Regular Season

Is Slaf a flop? Is Reinbacher a flop?

This isn't the Alex Galchenyuk Jesperi Kotkaniemi Habs anymore.
Wasn't popcorn #5?

As Shane Kelly has said many times on his weekly visit to TSN 690, Slaf does not have one quality that is elite. Until he learns better to use his size , he will continue to have zero.

He was, but the point is that to get high picks you need to be this bad.

I don't see how you can call Reinbacher a flip when he only has a handful of NHL games.

He was bad his post draft year and is now missing an entire year of his development due to injury. It has gone about as bad as possible. Not sure how you can call it anything but a flop so far

Impatience would call it a flop. He wasn't NHL ready at the draft, very few were, and he's had setbacks with injury.

I don't see how you can call a prospect a flop until you see his play in the NHL for at least a full 2 seasons. If he doesn't make the NHL then yes, a flop, but he's definitely going to be in the show.

Reinbacher isn't a flop, not yet anyway.

Hence the "so far"
