Grub played on the Avs and Caps.. of course his winning % would be better, Monty has been playing on rebuild team.. I take Monty right now over Grub

This is nothing more than fans refusing to see what a player on their team really is and overrating him. Happens with every fan base.

That's what's going on here. The two goalies are comparable when you remove your eye test and bias.

One actual crazy stat I just found when looking at Monty/Grub:

In the past four seasons, Monty has played six more games (one more start) but has faced 911 more shots...lol wtf Habs.

I've posted the numbers for the last four years and they are indeed comparable. You posted nothing.

To say the two goalies aren't comparable is incorrect when they in fact are comparable. Pointing to a short sample size, especially after injury, is just ludicrous. Nothing I stated was wrong, grubauer is at best a backup goalie as is Montembeault. To be called disingenuous over something that is pretty clear is insulting.

I switch teams. J/k. Right now Monty isn't as bad as Grub but you as a goalie know coming back from serious injury is harder on goalies than skaters.

The newer expansion teams are not like the old ones. They actual get some decent players. But tanking leads to this.

Except they never followed in the same path. But Seattle can’t afford a 10 years rebuild either. There is no traditional hockey base, it needs to be built. Tickets are not selling right now.
