Talking heads on a podcast speculating that Caufield could be on the upcoming trip to Alberta as part of taxi squad.

I think there's a decent chance he makes his NHL debut next Wednesday in Edmonton.

Makes sense as Laval has something like 12-days off, and both Merrill & Gustafsson are quarantining in Edm to join the team

I don't have a problem with calling him up for a game or two. Let him see the speed of the game up close and personal. Hopefully, that motivates him to make a better player (better/harder training)

There's no problem with having Cole ''hang out'' around the team on the taxi squad. The fact he started in Laval is a good thing....and if he seems to be too strong for AHL, i see no issues with calling him up. Having said that, he's only played a handful of AHL games...it's a bit too early to say he is too strong for AHL.

“Too strong for the AHL” is not the standard.
