But now Michkov has been unshackled from Torts' system and Wolf is a goalie who will get votes from the Kelly Hrudey's of the world.

But yes, barring something unforeseen, we can pretty much end the Celebrini vs Hutson argument right now. It's Hutson vs Michkov and Michkov's team is not in da mix.

It’s not a fair race, bunch of those voters don’t watch a bunch of games and will go by reputation for the recent first overall pick by default, and Celibrini has been very good. Hutson should win it but I think the vote will unfortunately go Macklin’s way.

Just a few days ago betting odds were in Celibrini’s favors, https://www.covers.com/nhl/calder-trophy-odds, I guess it changed over the weekend.

Just looking at the stats alone right now, I find it hard that someone would vote for anyone else.?

Celebrini might not hit even 60 points as a forward, that's only Calder quality in a meh crop of rookies. Hutson hitting 60-65 points as a D-man would actually be pretty exceptional historically.

That's my main worry, otherwise the race wouldn't even be close.

No goalie is ever going to make Price money again so if we have to renegotiate with Fowler in 2 years rather than 3 so what? We will get him signed to reasonable money regardless, even if he looks like a lock for the Hall of Fame by then.
