Over the years, I've noticed something. Businesses (or sports franchises, since this is a hockey board) that are successful usually don't try to justify their mistakes by doubling or tripling down. They'll quietly admit they made a mistake & cut bait. The bad businesses are the ones who double down on their mistakes because they want to justify their actions instead of doing the right thing.
The lady said, well, can't demolish it because it'll cost $2B! Wouldn't want that now, would we? and you know what? Even if it cost $5B, I'd be all for it. Tear it down and use the empty land for the new, state of the art, multi-purposed stadium and bring some real life into the Eastern part of Montreal.
Instead, we have these clowns pissing in the wind and telling us it's raining.
