I've been the opinion for a very long time that there's an ideal place to put a new arena, a real entertainment hub and a football/baseball stadium in Montreal:

But instead, the politicians decided that it would be a much better idea to spend $800M on fixing the roof for a semi abandoned building that almost nobody wants to use.

One of the most mind-numbingly stupid decisions this city & province have made in my lifetime.

Short of that, there's no other alternative in downtown Montréal available at the moment. The best alternative would be to buy the Place Bonaventure building where I work, rip that old piece of shit down, and build it up.

The location would be perfect, too.

I used to like going to Place Bonaventure as a child, saw various little trade shows
