Juraj Slafkovsky, Montreal Canadien

Looks like anger caused by either entitlement and/or rejection to me. Either way, both can be very toxic and I suspect the habs dodged a bullet.

Hopefully they didn't need to dodge the second bullet.

Bingo Ringo !

Bartend, another Sam’s!

A bientot !

Nice swing for the home run pick with Mesar

Habs went for skill and speed

Refreshing change from drafting a potential safe 2 way player who needs every box checked off just to keep a roster spot

If he can score and or create scoring chances you could live with him not being physical or iffy defensively

Of course he's fine... however, all that great stuff doesn't really change someone's feelings about things that happen to them. He already had those things, and he thought he was also going to be picked 1st overall.

I am far better off than like 80% of the world. I have a roof over my head and I can pay my bills. I'm sure a homeless person would say that I'll be fine... that doesn't make me immune to disappointment, nor should it.

Slaf really seems like a "Prime Time" type guy like Ovechkin or Subban... he could thrive in Montreal. Wright may or may not have played very well in Montreal, but he definitely doesn't feel like a guy that would thrive like Slaf.

If we still had the previous management regime I would be worried that Slaf would become another Subban and would also wind up being traded for a "ka-RACK-ter" player simply because his personality was too big.

He is clearly excited to be here and that could push him into stardom. He certainly looked motivated trying to turn that stationary bike mobile.

I wonder with kov in the name, if we could see another return of the Kovy chant?

we can only hope some team will bite on Juraj at the trade deadline in 2 years
