That was a given the instant he was selected. He’s the most NHL ready player drafted last week. He looked great at the World’s. That’s when I first started to buy into him as legit. and that the Olympics were not a one-off.
 
Slaf would need to have a dreadful camp to not at least get 9 names to start the year.

I think he'll get his 9 games and we'll see afterwards for the rest.
 
I'm a fan letting him stay most of the year in the minors and calling him up the last month. Like what SEA did with Beniers and he was on fire when he got called up.

You are drafting the best 22-30 year old , not 18

They figured Slaf is a unicorn built around a Rantenen and Tkachuk

Wright is not an elite 1C but probably no better than Suzuki and certainly not Bergeron
