Who won the last AHL cup, without looking it up?
The kids will have their time in the AHL , its just not now .
Roy or Kidney are not going to put this team over the top
The vets deserve this opportunity for putting in the hard work during the year

They're a part of the puzzle, the vets aren't.The kids will have their time in the AHL , its just not now .

I guessed either the Marlies or Charlotte and they actually won the last two cups lolololWho won the last AHL cup, without looking it up?
Name 3 of those veterans without looking it up, lol. There's zero urgency in the playoffs to insert youth. You don't teach in the playoffs. You don't insult the guys that got you there.
If you think differently then cheer for another club that thinks as you do, they're called the Golden Knights
Agreed but this isnt game 10 of the regular season where you have 4 months of development and chemistry is developedThey're a part of the puzzle, the vets aren't.
Roy could be an homerun.
The 3 Zachs from the Q who got drafted in the first round of the 2021 NHL draft, well they were all in the same junior draft too and Roy was 1st overall. Of course, he disappointed afterward, which is why we got him in the 5th round, but look at this pas season and he put them far in his rearview mirror.
All in the QMJHL last year:
Z. Bolduc 65 gp, 55g, 44a, 99p
Z. Dean 47gp, 21g, 31a, 52p
Z. L'heureux 46gp, 22g, 34a, 56p
J. Roy 66gp, 51g, 68a, 119p.
Roy is also a month away from being in the 22 draft.
So yeah, he should get the opportunity, if he doesn't make the NHL next year it's back to the Q, so it's not like he just has 2 waits 2 months to get a taste of pro hockey.
That said, i think there's an above 50% chance he makes the team out of training camp, mostly because the team won't want for him to waste his time at the junior level one more year.
No it isn't like that at all. The Stanley Cup finals are important. The team that wins the Cup is the best team in hockey. The Calder Cup finals are meaningless because they don't tell us anything aside from the fact that our minor league scrubs are really good at being minor league scrubs. Quite frankly, and after a decade of Bergevin-Timmins mediocrity, I would expect nothing less than for the Habs to have a minor league dynasty populated by NHL busts. It's what they did best. They're like those avant-garde artists who use dog shit to paint with instead of oils or acrylics. They create works of art, but they're basically just shit. That's the Calder Cup.Its like saying Colorado was going to slot Justin Barron ( if he wasnt traded ) in their top 6 D for the finals .....not a chance
Now you know how CFL fans feel.So dismissive. Visceral reaction to people like you dude.
So stop doing it to themNow you know how CFL fans feel.
He bitches about the lack of player development the Habs have so calling the Laval's run meaningless is puzzling as it will help guys like Cayden, Ylonen, Pinard, Norlinder, etc in their development..So dismissive. Visceral reaction to people like you dude.
Beside Primeau, they aren't really at the top of the food chain as far as our prospect goes. Disappointing Barron got injured, and Roy should have played every games he could. He bitches about the lack of player development the Habs have so calling the Laval's run meaningless is puzzling as it will help guys like Cayden, Ylonen, Pinard, Norlinder, etc in their development..
