Laval Rocket Thread

I'm a little more skeptical of Ylonen making it at this point. And if he does make it, it's as a depth forward.

He's 22 and really didn't show much outside of the odd flash here & there during his time this season. It's not like we had a championship caliber team, we were the worst team in the league and riddled with injuries, and he wasn't able to establish himself on the team.

Also, I think he might have fallen down the depth chart behind Harvey-Pinard. We'll see how they look in camp.

Most of our prospects won't pan out, that's a given. But instead of the team filling up with vets the coming year and the one following, hopefully all these young guys get chances so we see who can breakout and grow with the core. We have to get lucky with some sleepers and there's only one way to find out. This is the perfect time to chance it on anyone who is young and has some potential. I can't even remember the last time the team had no intention of making the playoffs starting the season, this is our small window.

He reminds me of Gally , who is a better NHLer than an AHLer

Developing a better 2 way game , MSL should be a big help

Different skillset than Jacob de la Rose, but de la Rose's skillset is much more suited to a bottom-6 role. I don't know if Ylonen's skillset works for that.

Maybe with some time he can develop into a bottom-six, checking winger. He's got the speed to do it.

I wonder if we'll be getting William Trudeau on a PTO in the next few days.

He'll be an overager in the Q if we don't sign him to an ELC or PTO.
