Laval Rocket Thread

Huh. Émile Poirier got cut too. Interesting.

I wonder if William Trudeau's going to get a contract or if he's going back to Junior.

They didn't even give Stapley a chance. I wonder how many of the cuts will play in Trois Rivieres or try their luck somewhere else (or quit hockey).

Stapley was signed to a one year one way AHL contract. So what happens to him now? I guess he plays in Trois Rivieres and collects his AHL money.

I mean, most of the people going to Trois-Rivières kind of expected it. If some like Poirier say they won't show up there, they'll just terminate his contract.

As expected he is moved to Wing. Mysak with the slow but consistent climb to the NHL so reminiscent of Plekanec.

I was hoping Pinard and Ylonen might start the season with Habs instead of some of the dead wood. Maybe we'll see them later after we burn some dead wood......or maybe they are just AHL players tops.

I think the forwards are pretty much stuck in Laval for awhile. When Armia comes back, there will another body to send to
Laval and two spares on the roster.

There's Armia, there's Heinemen, who I think will spend the whole year in the NHL simply because of his contract situation (NHL or Europe only until December 1st). Assuming both return & nobody else is injured, we have two people too many on the roster.

Pezzetta & Slaf seem like the obvious candidates to go to Laval. Once they're there, nothing's stopping the team from calling up Harvey-Pinard over those two. In fact, I think it would be better for everyone if that was the case.
