Laval Rocket Thread

He might not be, but he needs a veteran goalie to play with him.

If you're feeding him to the wolves, what's the point?

Also goes to show, if you're a longshot NHL prospect in the NCAA, finish your schooling before going pro.

I get your point GG but a lot of this is on Dobes. They need to know if he can run with it or not. Pretty sure they've figured that out.

Feeding him to the wolves in the AHL? First time I heard that. He's only playing half the games. Maybe he just doesnt have it. Very few legit prospects go through the ECHL it's not baseball.

5-2 loss to Belleville. Coach Houle said the team played scared, even with the mighty Xhekaj in the lineup. He had 2 shots on goal and was -2.

Laval is now 30th in a 32 team league, only 1 point out of 31st and 2 points out of dead last. And the 2 teams behind them have games in hand.

Houle is as Houle does.

The objective is to prepare a select group of players for the Habs. Winning is secondary.

I’d say the record thus far is adequate.
That… if Laval can nurture, refine & graduate on avg 1-player per year to Habs, who takes a regular shift…. that’s exceptional level achievement by NHL standards

Struble potentially could be this seasons accomplishment, by meeting stated criteria

Thats not too much to ask

I cant believe over the years Habs had to poach teams trash to nab fourth liners or depth d

I still laugh at how the team had to pay junk like Alzner to bury him in the minors

Can’t name one team that’s been able to achieve that for 5-years in a row since intro of cap

There have been a few who have had a big 2-3 spurt then flatline..

Every organization should have a plug 5-6D or a fourth line capable body , its a joke

Not a glowing report on the Sheriff's first AHL game. The article failed to grasp that just about every AHL goon will want to fight the NHL guy
just to make a name for himself. Besides management may have asked Xhekaj not to respond to every challenge and just focus on his D game.
