Do you really believe 0.02 is a meaningful difference?
It isn't.
I believe 0.11 and 0.07 is significant.

I mean, you’ve said many times you’d rather the Leafs not spend top dollars to commit to a reliable starter and instead have them take smart, low-risk gambles. Bernier is a smart gamble that really only cost the Leafs a marginal 3rd liner in Frattin and Nonis hasn’t left the Leafs scrambling at the last second in order to make it.
Really, I’m happy this management group is taking a different approach than previous ones who would anoint an unproven young goalie as starter before he’s earned it. It’s not like the Leafs are totally depending on Bernier. Nor are they totally depending on Reimer now. This is a great position to be in.

The AHL and NCAA ranks are full of big, immobile goalies like Scrivens that post numbers that look impressive on paper. One by one they are always eventually figured out in the NHL.
You're not playing against some fringe kid on a scholarship to Quinnipiac or Colgate anymore.
The AHL and NCAA aren't full of guys who've posted elite numbers almost every season like Scrivens has.
Sure they are. The following current AHL goalies have put up these seasons:
David Leggio: .911, .917, .924
Mike McKenna: .921, .918, .923
Martin Jones: .924, .919, .919
Danny Taylor: .908, .924, .922
Justin Peters: .917, .908, .921
Jeff Zatkoff: .911, .920, .920
Yann Danis: .924, .924, .911
Matt Climie: .913, .920, .921
Barry Brust: 908, .925, .911 (also seasons of .919 and .923)
Curtis McElhinney: .911, .907, .923
Jacob Markstrom: .907, .927, .920
Michael Hutchinson: .904, .927, .914
Scott Munrue: .920, .907, .913 (not including a .926 season)
+1
Watched some Marlies games when Scrivens had that .940(or something close to that) and man what a difference in leagues...Kept wondering why they kept always shooting at exactly the same place(couldn't lift pucks up lol)..so yea that's an important point.
How many of those guys posted a career 925 SV% in the AHL like Scrivens did?
All of the goalies on that list have been starters in the AHL for full seasons. They've got a lot more than 94 career starts there. :lol
I could pretty easily cherry pick their three top years and combine them. Want me to do that?
You posted a list of goalies who almost all posted inferior numbers to Scrivens and you're trying to pass that off as proof.
Every one of my contacts except one, thought we had the worst goaltending they had seen in 45 years in Toronto..
