And Rittich---not my first choice. Was hoping for a swing-for-the-fences moves for Ullmark or Dreidger.

But I'd take him over Fred or Hutch, and this hopefully means Fred's done, so thumbs up I guess.

I knew Dubas wouldn't be so foolish to not acquire goaltending insurance. Not a great choice but can surely help if Jack goes back down.

this is a for now move though. Dubas should try for Ullmark or some kind of actual upgrade this offseason regardless of what happens. Hutch is not a viable backup option for a serious team.

According to Mirtle $1.375 is the exact amount of cap space they'd need to demote to bring Freddy off LTIR.

Might be more insurance, than Freddy is done. But it also means Freddy may be done.
