As for Weber.. i don't see why we want that contract or pay the price to acquire. Habs aren't moving him for nothing and eating salary. I wouldn't lock into that type of contract for that long either. We have time to find a defender.

Slippery language is zeke's trademark.

Leivo and Brown spent their entire lives on NA-sized rinks. I don't think what they did was more impressive, though it's tough to compare.

20-21 years

Johnsson (SHL): 55 games 22g/35 pts
Brown (AHL): 76 games 21g/61 pts
Leivo (AHL): 51 games 11g/32 pts

Going purely by the numbers, the thing that impresses me about Johnsson is how steadily he keeps improving.

In each of his three years in the SHL, he kept getting a bit better every season.

And then after scoring at about a 21-goal/50-point pace as an AHL rookie, he's already scoring at a 41-goal/PPG pace as a sophomore. When you combine that with his apparently good all-around game, and that he's a natural left-winger...I'm not sure what there is to be pessimistic about.

Yeah, statistically, what's not impressive? Guy is Mr. Steady Improvement. He can fire a puck, that's for sure.

If the measurement of 'impressive' is at what age they hit a ppg in the AHL, no, it's not slippery. It a bit odd though. Johnsson's first season in the AHL was at 22.

I think using "1st year / 2nd year" is what's actually slippery, not using age.
