Martin Reway Signs

There is also a big jump from going to the best starter in the league to the worst.

That would be a good excuse if we lost games 5-4, or 4-3.....

But we barely managed to score, so Condon cannot be the scapegoat here....the team just couldn't score, even when they were playing well in December. The vets gave up once they saw Price wasn't coming back, and pulled the same shit as against Rangers in playoffs

I understand that it's discouraging when your goalie is a sieve, but at least give him some goal support...there's a reason Condon collapsed so badly: the team in front of him gave up

Kind of true because Dusty wasn't bad. His playoff .916 was identical to Price that year.

To me Condon fell apart mostly because he wasn't ready to carry the load.

Don't forget that price is one of the leagues best puck moving goalies.

He's as big a part of our transition game as our defensemen.

He was literally the worst starter in the league in term of save %. This is a league where 2-1 and 3-2 games are the norm. The other team is not going to let you score more goals just because you have a shitty goalie.

Yep, I actually do like Condon, but he was not ready to be a starter, he was actually a good story for a backup, but never as a starter.

because we were never that good and the correct word is were .....as soon as the meal ticket went down. We showed no gumption , leadership , coaching strategy ....nothing but a team that turtled into a corner.

wrong

the team played the best hockey they have in years when price went down

a month or so later though ....

Fine, if you want to split hairs let's just say that as soon as they found out after him being out for a month that Price was going to be out for the foreseeable future they gave up.

I'm not sure if it's Price or the frustrating of continuously losing games that they should have won. But yes, at one point around January, it sure looked like they gave up on the season.

Reway thread gets 10 pages of reply, it shows is off season for Habs :) How many pages Stamkos signing will get? ;)
