You look like a happy camper Judge!!! My son and I got down there at 3 with sunshine and also got caught in that 4-5 rain! Throngs of folks enjoying the Fan Fest but Shady 80 was kind enough to pose for a pic with my son!I forgot to get a pic last night dangit... but Judge's grin is still ear to ear... he's in his happy place lol.. Fanfest was fun, but we got caught in the 4p-5p rain.. still thawing out. Glad tomorrow will be dry at least!
Funny you should ask. What were the TV ratings like for this game? Did people change the channel after it was apparent that the Canes had this game in hand?
Who knows with that stuff? At some point ESPN's guys were talking about more than 50% of the direct sale tickets being sold to people in Wake County ... which doesn't jive with that. I think the sources for that kind of stuff are generally suspect and people grab numbers out of midair depending on the point they're making. Being in the stands, there's no way Caps representation was more than 10-15% overall. I actually expected more of them to be honest, but it wasn't that much different than a normal home gameThat's great. Thanks for sharing.
And I heard yesterday that 60% of tickets sold were to out of staters? DC area Caps fans and locals buying tickets from out of state scalpers?
Please don't.Heck, make every game an outdoor game.
Outdoor ice is better than indoor. Please don't.
It was an awesome experience, but one I hope we don't have the opportunity to relive for at least another five years.
Indoor is better for attending about 40 games a year!Outdoor ice is better than indoor.
Yep. We were fortunate with the weather last weekend. if it were to be this Saturday? Not so much.Indoor is better for attending about 40 games a year!
No worries. The NHL hates repeating venues, so we're probably out of those woods until they run out of other new options AND have recycled through previous venues. Please don't.

The majority of folks I got a chance to see at the tailgates, etc were out of staters like myself. Ray, our friend Paul from Scotland, 4 or 5 Finns, a German, some more Canadians. I'm not sure I believe the percentages, but there were a lot of out-of-state Caniacs in attendance. That's great. Thanks for sharing.
