N95 isnt exactly a high bar to clear gents. They're glorified dust masks with a name.

Calling them N96 to stick his dick in trumps eye and having them filter out more than 95% of particles larger than .3 micron isnt exactly challenging scientifically

It's not the scientific theory part of it that raises my suspicion. I'm sure it's not hard to design a mask that's a slight improvement on the N95. It's the being able to ramp up quickly and start producing millions of them part of this that I have serious doubts about.

Again though, I hope I'm wrong.

In fairness to Doug, and not that business people aren't capable of trying to oversell their capabilities, but the "millions per week" projection came from the owners of Woodbridge Foam.

To see how realistic that is, 3M was making about 35 million per month at their 450,000 sq ft facility in south dakota. Woodbridge Foam is about 120,000 sq ft. Sq ft isn't a perfect analogue for productive capacity, especially in retrofit vs purpose build situations but I wouldn't doubt that a manufacturer skilled in working with similar materials can go pretty high volume pretty quick here. Even 500K-1M units a week would make a pretty huge difference.

MacKay is such a bimbo.

A tire fire of a party leader, a tire fire in every cabinet position he was ever appointed to and a complete tire fire as a CPC leadership candidate.

He needs to fade away back to wherever the hell he’s been since he left politics.

Definitely going to be really interesting to see what they do about the leadership race. Do they simply resume where they left off with crowning MacKay, or do they give new people a chance to enter the race? DoFo has definitely impressed with his handling of the situation in Ontario, but if they restart the race before this crisis is over, I can't imagine someone like him or Kenney suddenly jumping ship and trying to run federally. And that's whether they even want to run - I mean, whoever wins the race is going up against Justin with the pandemic bump, plus is going to be inheriting a 100-200B deficit.

I mean, in the above case, obviously he meant "overcame adversity", but I think he said the silent part out loud in that message. If they do just resume where he left off, he's going to get absolutely smoked in the election.

if we think americans are dumb....or if we are wondering what happened to teeds read the comments here

That the virus won't disappear altogether and there'll be other waves until a vaccine is produced?

seems like common sense

testing, hotspot lockdowns, more PPE in public, no large gatherings (no way we have sporting events with crowds until a vaccine), etc

some people still seem to think this magically ends and we go back to 2019
