New Canadian Politics Thread

This is morphing into a more general “I want to be festering, pus-riddled arsehole in your city” movement than anything organized.

Time to fire up the yoga festivals and non-binary raves in their trailer parks.

Let's be real, that's all this ever was. This was a Trucker protest that started in western canada about provincial public health requirements (so...they chose to drive to another province to protest?) and cross border regulation that doesn't matter (both because trucking firms had already re-jigged their routing to keep non vaxxed drivers in country, and because Uncle Joe gives zero fucks and wasn't letting them in unvaxxed regardless of what Justin did). So it was a protest without a functioning cause or real world demands and when forced to produce some they all put their heads together and came up with "Fuck democracy, abolish the government and put us in charge" as their core demand.

It was always an unorganized clown show.

But, ya, a coding instructor sitting in a small room maskless with 20 other mask refuseniks, demanding to meet with the prime minister, dissolve parliament and sit on the throne with the cons ndps and Governor General sounds like the end game of a month python sketch.

just embarrassing. Not that I’d expect more from people who take their queues from the trumps of the world
 
i mean the threats are empty. she looks like shes smart enough to know that.

it's insane that they needed a court injunction to stop doing clearly illegal things though.
 
and honestly, if they can stop the honking they don't need to do anything else.

the city will adjust to the traffic limitations just like with any construction.

just let them sit there like jackasses for as long as they want.
