New Canadian Politics Thread

Anyone wanna take a wild guess at what field former premier Mike Harris and his wife are working in now?

Nice to see him transitioning to the private sector after his stint in politics

In 2012, Harris started a local Nurse Next Door Home Care franchise in Toronto with wife Laura.[58]

Today, Harris serves as the Chair of the Board for Chartwell Retirement Residences.[61] During the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, Chartwell and other for-profit facilities had "far worse COVID-19 outcomes than public facilities" after paying hundreds of millions to shareholders over the last decade.[62] Since joining the board, Mike Harris has been compensated roughly $3.5-million for his services.[63]

My mom is paying big bucks to live in a Chartwell facility in Scarborough and half the stuff she pays for was shut down during the pandemic and a lot of the stuff is still shut down today because they can't retain enough staff to provide them. But none of these cuts to service provision are reflected on the bill. Now I know why.

Is this only with the purchase of an Epson product, or can I get it if I buy a Canon or Brother instead? Do I get the discount at the cash register or do I have to mail in the UPC?

This has gotten so confusing since they moved the Ontario government to Staples.
ok boomer

Totally forgot about mail in rebates! Amazing.

Car taxes should be based on km travel and vehicle weight. Which is basically fuel. Eg tax fuel more (IMO).

Conversely., subsidize people who don't own cars.
If we did that all those limp dick "freedumb" lovers with their F350 dualies (the one's with the "Fuck Trudeau" stickers on them) would cry that they have to pay more than the people who own compacts.
