Spend some time in Alberta before you decide. Most people here hated JT long before he ever won an election just because of his last name.
and JT proved them right...I was a party member and donor since university and he drove me away
I will say his political life did follow his dad's quite closely, win on charm, wife left both, 3 children, terrible debt and leaving the party in a shambles.

JT is actually doing the worst thing from Poilievre's standpoint. Pee-Pee's entire identity is about focusing hatred on Trudeau. His preference would be for JT to call an election. But JT isn't going to give him what he wants. And when an election is called, Pee-Pee will have to run against someone else. He won't have Trudeau to use as a pinata.
And if the Liberals replace Trudeau with someone who is smart and has no compunction about playing dirty, Poilievre will be forced at some point to elaborate on his plans beyond just the slogans like "Bring it home". A smart Liberal leader will force him to define what exactly he intends to "bring home". Trumpian fascism? Class warfare? Racism?
If the Liberals are smart they will replace Trudeau with an absolute son of a bitch who takes no prisoners.

We will have to endure at least one term of Poilievre to teach people a lesson about why they should never vote conservative. I am confident that by the time he is booted out of office, Poilievre will replace JT as the country's most hated individual, and for far better reasons too.
